What Happens at Our First Meeting
To help you learn more about our approach with our clients, we have put together a list of what you can expect during your first meeting.
At your consultation:
- We will learn about you and your specific situation. We will ask you questions about what you want to happen in your case, and we will request information that is needed to start your case.
- We will explain the process, provide general information, and give you an overview of the situation. This includes timelines and what steps we need to take right away.
- We will answer your questions and ease your mind over any immediate concerns that you have.
- You will also get to know us, our personality, and how we can assist with your legal matter.
In family law cases, we often give our clients a starter kit before our first meeting. It is helpful to fill this packet out prior to meeting with your attorney. The packet allows us to prepare for our meeting and answer any questions you may have. It is important that we address all of your concerns so that you have a better understanding of your situation.
Our Salt Lake City family lawyers can assist with every aspect of your case or we can provide limited scope representation to help you with specific issues related to your case. We are also able to check with the courts regarding the status of your family law case. This includes looking up whether the other party has already filed a petition.
First Meeting for Criminal Defense Cases
We handle criminal defense cases in a different manner to protect your best interests. In criminal defense cases, it is important to get started on your case immediately. We will go over the charges you are facing, getting to know the facts of your case and your side of the story. We will explain the process, timelines, and steps involved for your defense. We can also look up warrants, court dates, and other information regarding your case.
We Will Handle It
Our life is the same when we walk out of court, but we realize our client's is not. Our job is to handle the stress for you and fight for your best interests. We will not give up advocating for you.
